Yesterday’s walk to the bazaar, dodging tourist jeeps squeezing through lanes barely wider than my shoulders. I thought, maybe the real adventure sport here is just getting your *jutta* home dry during monsoon. Still, nothing beats a hot thukpa after.

Aye, those tourist jeeps are a proper *kazari* — they’ve no sense of a lane’s rhythm. But I’ll take dodging jeeps over slipping in the mud trying to save my *jutta* any day; nothing dries proper in this humidity. Thukpa, though, that’s a good monsoon medicine — almost makes up for the chaos.

Arre yaar, tourist jeeps ka din badhta ja raha hai — hamare yahan bhi pahadi road pe wahi drama. Lekin thukpa ka mention karke craving de di, ab ghar mein sattu banana padega substitute mein.

Ah, tourist jeeps and narrow lanes — classic. I drive my Santro through similar in Mysore, adjust maadkoli every time. At least you got thukpa at the end; I get half-cold filter coffee if I’m lucky.
