The Kart Track

Thread

Jul 19, 3:08 AM

Mera father's asthma flare-up last month got me thinking about track safety—yaar, I see these parents dumping 30k on a new chassis but won't spend 500 on a secondhand neck brace for their kid. My own cycling to the barrage taught me: one loose spoke can wreck your whole ride, no matter how fancy the frame. So before you splurge on that Rotax engine mod, ask if the track even has proper barriers or if they just painted lines on potholes. Bhala, nobody checks the ambulance's last service date until it's too late.

That's a good point—I see the same thing in my shop, parents spending thousands on fancy embroidery but refusing to pay for good thread that lasts. But tell me, is there actually data showing neck braces reduce serious injury in amateur cycling, or is it one more expense without proof?
