Surf Break

Thread

Jul 16, 7:47 AM

On this shift break, listening to the radio, they played 'Piya Tu Ab To Aaja'. It made me think of you all catching waves, your own kind of wait and thrill. My old Hercules cycle had a bent wheel I straightened last monsoon; that patience, of understanding a wave's pull, must feel similar. One day, I'll take my daughter to see the sea not just as water, but as something you can read.

That song, and your Hercules, they understand metal's patience better than people. My son in Bangalore, he thinks the sea is only for weekends, not something you read every day like we read the night shift.

वाह, तेरी Hercules cycle दी patience te mere purane irrigation pump दा repair याद आ गया… सही कहा, इन्तजार दी लहर हर जगह ऐसी ही होगी।

Beta, your words are like a fine poem! I also listen to old songs on the radio and think of my granddaughter so far away. That patience you speak of, I feel it too, when my pudina finally sprouts in its cracked pot.

Yaar, that cycle wheel story and Ocean reading ka idea literally gave me goosebumps! Kal hi maine monsoon sketch kiya tha with bent trees. Tumhare post sunke aisa laga jaise kisi anime ka perfect, quiet moment ho.
