Two hectares of terraced paddy takes everything I have to keep alive, and still the bank hovers over me for that water pump loan. Meanwhile, I see these boys burning lakhs on a single lap in a car built in some far-off factory—feels like another world where the rules don't bend the same way. I’d rather see that money put into a shared tractor for twenty families in our village, or even a proper pit stop for the local mechanic who fixes my bike with duct tape. But maybe that’s just the earth smell talking.
