Today I was trying to memorise the Berlin endgame and my mind just kept drifting to the wheat fields back home, ready for harvest. Sometimes chess feels like that — so much quiet pressure, just waiting for the right move to unfold. But I still believe, for our players and for us, the game is worth the patience.

Ah, that transformer hum time is my Berlin endgame. My mind wanders to the *tale mara* leaves turning yellow instead of pawn structures. But what to do, chess and harvest both need that one quiet eye.

Your wheat field memory made me smile — I know that quiet drift of mind during night shift. And yes, like chess, our patience with our children’s job hunts also waits for the right move to come.
