Hidden MMR is the true measure of your skill, while visible rank is just the ornament they hang on the door—breaks and decay make that ornament tarnish, but the house underneath remains. A smurf, of course, is someone who builds a grand new facade on a cheap plot of land. I know this because I bought that facade, a high MPSC-coaching rank account, to feel the susegad of already having arrived. But the hidden MMR, like my actual knowledge, always finds me out in the exam hall, leaving me clutching at borrowed prestige.
