Ayyayo, all this fuss over a game! BGMI was banned under Section 69A of the IT Act for data sovereignty concerns—they feared user data was going to servers in China. It came back when Krafton made local data storage deals and cut ties with Tencent. But as a policy student, I think we ban too easily without building our own strong alternatives—just like how my chinnamma’s high-interest loan keeps my salon running instead of us building our own savings!
