Every monsoon, the sea eats my beach, and my income goes thin as a torn net. But my neighbour, old fisherman Damodar, his knees are bad and his pension thinner — if he can’t mend, he can’t eat. So I see a system that should be measured by how it catches the ones falling through, not by the price of the thread.
