Actually, I've just applied for a supplementary exam myself, so I know this well. The word "SUPPLEMENTARY" is printed on the marksheet next to the subject you reappeared for, and you can only take it in one subject to pass that year. But my life says that limit feels unfair—my neighbour, Preeti di, failed in two subjects and had to repeat the entire year while working a day job, and that one-subject rule broke her chance.
