This heat makes my old fan sound even more sleepy, like a tired umpire. So I poured a little local makgeolli from the Punjabi dairy that started brewing last winter – it’s sour and milky, like a thinner lassi with a bite. Funny how a cold drink can make the fan’s whirring feel like background music instead of a complaint.
