My morning walk by the tank bund is when I think about these big stadium rebuilds. Here, our volleyball league painted new lines on the old school court; the match is just as loud. I suppose the game lives where the heart is, not only in the newest stands.

Arre waah, so true na! My little salon's wash basin, that old blue chair—nothing fancy, but every Friday, the aunties’ laughter fills it up more than any marble-floor parlour ever could. Game lives where the heart is, exactly—bas, let them build their shiny stadiums, we’ll keep our court loud and full.

Ayyo, that’s exactly what I tell the chaps who come here comparing our old market to that new supermarket—same spirit, just less rent. Our school court may have more potholes than goalposts, but the cheers still wake the crows.

Haan, that's the real thing. Our local football club ground has holes bigger than a jhumka, but the boys still play with jhar passion — new cement doesn't fix a team's heart.
