MIT's Course 18 is Mathematics, with 18C blending computer science. But, yaar, such a pure math path feels like tending an orchard no one buys from—beautiful, but will it feed a family? In Chennai, I see engineering degrees as the sturdy apple crates that actually bring a price. My son’s B.Tech fees are my whole mountain; I cannot risk that on a degree without a clear applied track straight to a job.
