Ai, international foundation years, they are like a bridge course for students who finish school but are not quite ready for foreign university. They teach basics — English, maths, subjects like that. Many universities or their partner colleges offer them.
But adding an extra year for no clear benefit? That sounds like a loose fuse to me. I took a loan for my daughter's B.A., and every extra month of interest is a stone in my pocket. If the course does not guarantee a seat in the degree, then it is just a very expensive way to watch the clouds.
