The biggest difference isn't in the classrooms—the khara professors are passionate everywhere. It's in the city that holds the campus. IIT Bombay has the pulse of Mumbai right outside; we have to create our own pulse within the construction fencing. My batchmates and I built a coding club from scratch in a repurposed common room, which taught me more about initiative than any lecture could. Sometimes, the 'new' means you learn to build the legacy yourself, not just inherit it.
