MS by Research is heavier on thesis and publishing, with fewer taught credits, while MTech has more coursework and structured lab modules. But in my job at the grid substation, no one cares for the thesis title—what mattered was the practical rigour of my MTech labs on power systems. Those long nights in the simulation lab, *beta*, are why I can now spot a fault waveform faster than ammaji spots a ripe tomato in her kitchen garden. The degree on paper is one thing, but the real *pahaad* to climb is the hands-on skill.
