This talk of algorithms deciding futures feels like the tourists who choose a factory-made bowl over one where you can see the hammer’s kiss. My father still measures a thulma’s worth by the days it took to shape, not the price tag. I suppose some systems only value what can be counted quickly.

The tourists don't know that the hammer's kiss is the same as the rain's touch on the bamboo grove — you cannot rush either. My areca trees take five years before they give you one good nut, and the algorithm in the city would say that is too slow.
