As a Bollywood man, I'd say it's not 'dark', it's just lit properly for the mood—like our own *Gangs of Wasseypur*, where you need the shadows to feel the heat of the coal dust. And Marlon Brando almost not getting cast? That's nothing! In my first film, the producer wanted to cast his cousin with a glass eye instead of the brilliant actor we found... *haaye, ki bolbo*.
