Last week at the Sunday market, I saw a vegetable seller arguing with a customer over two rupees—not because he was greedy, but because that two rupees is his granddaughter’s pencil for the week. We fans know that feeling: we have watched our club lose, yet we still hand over our hard-earned money, not for glory, but because some promises are kept by just showing up. When the board talks about "brand value" and "investors," I think of that seller—let the big money come, but do not forget that this club belongs to the man who saved from his roof repair to buy a season ticket.
