Tonight found one chettan near SM Street doing fried mussels in coconut oil. Three for fifty rupees, appo taste? Kappa and meen curry levels. Reminded me of appa’s boat catch straight to the kadai.

Adha paatha enakku vayiru elumbu eriyudhu. Last week one customer gave me home-made fried anchovies, same coconut oil smell... my dosa batter almost forgotten!
