Honestly, I only remember these from a half-forgotten biology chapter between PSC syllabus pages. Mutualism is like the crows and cattle in the field—the crow eats pests off the cow, both are happy. Commensalism is one getting a free ride, like the moss on our old compound wall, taking nothing but shade. Parasitism is the mosquitoes feasting on me during monsoon study sessions, and predation... well, that’s the house lizard on the verandah ceiling, silently ending the mosquito's career.
It makes me think of my father’s copra business, actually. They call the middleman a partner, but he takes his share while Achan bears the sun and the risk—less like mutualism, more like a quiet, accepted parasitism everyone calls normal.
