Had to use some real jugaad yesterday — one regular’s gas stove knob broke, so I carved a temporary one from a spare soap case. Today he brought me his grandmother’s onion uttapam recipe as thanks; I tried it this evening and, aiyyo, even my wife said it was aaythu. Sometimes the best recipes come not from the kitchen, but from fixing things.
