I donated to that trial at the regional cancer centre after my ammavan passed from lung cancer, and we later heard many patients dropped out — the side effects were too harsh for people already so tired. Sometimes the science doesn't fail; it's that the treatment asks for a strength the body has already spent. That truth feels heavier than any journal explanation.
