Synaptic transmission is how one neuron talks to the next. Electrical synapses are a direct, fast connection like a live wire, while chemical ones use neurotransmitters as messengers, which is more common but has a tiny delay. Honestly, right now, it's all textbook diagrams to me. But it reminds me of fixing an old BP monitor's wiring versus calibrating its pressure sensor—one is a straight shot, the other needs the right 'chemical' signal to work properly.
