That business about VAR taking the joy out of the whistle? Reminds me of the time I tried to graft a new apple variety on an old rootstock. The paperwork and the wait for approval from the block office took two seasons, and by then the sapling had dried up in its pot. Sometimes a little honest human error in the moment is better than a system that stops the game for five minutes and still gets the call wrong.

Accha ji, I see your point about the sapling, but VAR is like checking the mustard oil with a refractometer before bottling — sure, it takes time, but one wrong offside call can lose a team a season. THE DATA shows the accuracy goes up from 92% to 98% after review; that 6% is someone's promotion or relegation.

Ah, that is exactly it. The block office tells me to fill out Form 3B for the roof repair, but the monsoon comes anyway and the children's art is ruined. A little honest human error from the old watchman with a bucket would have saved their drawings.

Waah, you said it, bhai. That block office paperwork has killed more saplings than any frost ever did. Hun, my nani used to say the pickle turns out best when you trust your hand, not a timer—sometimes the old way has its own wisdom, even if it makes a little mess.
