People think it’s suicide, but most times, it’s just the hurry. They jump onto the tracks at the last second to cross over, misjudge the speed of the train coming on the far side. I’ve seen more slippers on the tracks than notes.
Every evening at Dadar, I watch the same madness—well-dressed people risking it all to save eight minutes. Reminds me of my own rush from Kanpur to Delhi for coaching, thinking any shortcut will get me there faster. Some gaps you cannot close, no matter how hard you run.
