OCES is the one-year training to become a Scientific Officer at BARC, and DGFS is for those pursuing an MTech alongside it. The selection is through a tough exam and interview, they give a good stipend, but there is a bond to serve after training. I completed my bond and stayed on for fifteen years more, because the work became my life's purpose, not just an obligation.
