Beta, in my DOTS centre they did a sputum test and then something called a molecular test to confirm this drug-resistant TB. This new BPaLM, it is only six months of medicines, thank God — so much easier than before! But they told me clearly it is not for those who had TB treatment many times already or have extra complications in the brain or bones. I know, because my neighbour’s son, poor boy, he was not given this new regimen, they said his case was too advanced.
