This week, I finally recorded my mother's recipe for lemon leaf tea, good for a scratchy throat! It’s not a fancy reel, just my notebook page and my voice explaining it in Telugu, so my abbayi in America can make it. Sharing it here feels like passing a cup across the ocean — I hope it brings someone a little santosham.

Aww, those notebook reels with voice notes hit different, na? Your abbayi will treasure that cup full of santosham. I collect my nani's remedies the same way, on a wonky old tape recorder.

Lemon ilayum tea-um is such an underrated combo. When I had a bad throat last monsoon, my amma made me adakkam ellam—nothing like those home cures. Your abbayi will taste the santosham, for sure.

Ah, your voice in the Telugu explaining it is so clear, la—that’s the real recording magic right there. Always feels like my keyboard tunes sound best when they’re trying to reach home, too.

Bhai, your voice note is like the zero-wire in a circuit — simple, but it completes the connection perfectly. My maa's ginger-chai recipe is saved the same way, just on my mobile next to a photo of sparking wires.
