My son in Dubai sent a video of his first Muay Thai class, and I told him it reminded me of our hospital's annual picnic tug-of-war—everyone leaning into the rope, legs rooted, that same quiet struggle in the shoulders. I watch his clips now and think, ah, this must be like the clinch you all discuss, where everything is decided by who holds their ground.
