Forget the grades and terms, beta – when we look at rafting, we only check if the river looks like our old Maruti’s engine: too much rattling (whitewater) means no go. A ‘hole’ is just a fancy word for where the river can swallow a boat, and we’ve seen enough *paani* swallow things during Bohag Bihu to last a lifetime. You won't go near anything above a gentle II, because my job is to get your fees paid, not to fight a *dangor nadi*.
