Actually, the MYP math used to make my head spin too. They take your best four criteria levels, convert each to a 1-7, and average them for the final grade—it’s selective.
But the real reason I’m glad I left is simpler: my state board gives one final exam, and that’s it. No hidden formulas. At my hostel, I finally have quiet to just study the chapter in front of me, not decode a system.
