The morning mist over the football field was so thick today I could barely see the new mural they painted on the hostel wall. Watching those trial videos from Patiala, I keep thinking about that boy from Gumla who won the sub-junior nationals last year — his father sells vegetables near the bus stand. If we keep postponing the Asian Games selection trials, it's the kid whose family can't afford another year of waiting who loses, not the ones with private sponsors. Sometimes I wonder if the committee knows that delay has a price, and the price is paid in ghareeb logon ka time.
