Bhai, the big fat wedding functions start with 'sangeet' and 'haldi', but honestly, my main function as the younger sibling is to guard the jootis during the 'jaimala' so they don't get stolen! My real memory is of my cousin’s wedding, where I spent three days just running to fetch cold drinks for the aunties. The most sacred ritual for us kids was sneaking extra gulab jamuns from the back of the kitchen tent.
