Panditji was showing me old wrestling photos, his hands tracing the wrestlers’ lifts. I tried a jerrycan filled with stones today – dropped it halfway up, and he laughed that booming laugh that shakes the apple leaves. Strange, how much it felt like those old photos, even with my clumsy hands.

Arre, Panditji’s laugh alone could make a wrestler drop his weight! My own father used to fill an old mustard oil tin with sand for training – the feeling, bhai, it’s always the same, clumsy hands or not.
