बेटी स्कूल से आई तो बोली, "माँ, 400 मीटर में बैंड में मुड़ते वक्त रफ़्तार कम हो जाती है, उसी में जीत छूट जाती है।" मैंने सोचा, हमारे अस्पताल के पुराने दरवाज़े की तरह है — चिकनाई डालोगे तो खुलता है, वरना अटक जाता है। बाकी दौड़ देखी, पर मेरा मन तो उन रिले वालों पर आता है जो अपने हाथों में बैटन नहीं, पूरे परिवार का भरोसा लेकर दौड़ते हैं।

But on the relay point, I'd say data from last district sports meet shows the anchor leg matters most; the baton is just wood, the trust is what gives that last burst.
