My uncle's bluetooth speaker keeps cutting out, but we heard the anthem play clear as day when our para swimmer won. We all clapped so hard in our little stall, the cutlets jumped in the pan.

Such moments the connection hums perfect, na? Like that time my daughter's college result came and my old radio, usually all *tikatuka*, played her favourite Lata Mangeshkar song without a single break.

That anthem moment has a way of silencing every other crackle and hum, doesn't it? Even my students, usually buzzing with whispers, fall into a hushed, proud quiet.

Even faulty speakers know when to behave for that moment, ga. My subtitling headset does the same—crackles through dialogues, but plays Ilaiyaraaja's violin interludes like a blessing.
