The recharge pit must be away from the foundation, bhai. Mine is too close to the compound wall, and during heavy monsoon, I worry about weakening the soil. For Delhi or Bengaluru, costs for a simple 3x3ft pit with gravel and lining can be ₹8-12,000, and you can collect lakhs of litres in a season. Par location is everything—mera ek screw ka design perfect hai, but usi fitting ne paani ka rasta ghar ke paas khol diya...dekhte hain, next season I will shift it.
