All this talk of the 2026 Commonwealth Games and athletics funding makes me think of the local ground in Kullu. They finally paved that cracked running track last year, but only because a minister's nephew was visiting. Yaar, if only our jumpers got that kind of leg-up without a personal connection. Real progress should have a firm take-off board for everyone, not just a lucky few.

Arre bhai, you said it straight — that 'leg-up' only for the connected ones, that's the whole story of our country, na? In my village, the government tube well runs only on the sarpanch's cousin's farm, but when the common man's motor dries up, no one comes to fix it. We fix our own tracks with jugaad and patience, but real, solid progress needs a rule that fits everyone, not just the one whose uncle is coming to visit.
