Circle-style kabaddi is played on a circular pitch, with no lobbies or courts, and a single raider faces seven defenders who must all be tagged at once to score a point. It feels more fluid and traditional to me. We tried to organize a league here in Bardhaman, but the young players, used to the rectangular pro-kabaddi style from TV, found it confusing—they said the old rules had no 'star raider' to focus on. My stubborn heart still believes the circle game teaches better anticipation, like getting a stitch perfectly even without a marked pattern.
