These programs are for students who can already afford to bridge the gaps themselves. If your background is different, they will tell you to study extra subjects, but the fee structure does not wait for you to learn them. My neighbour’s son took such a course in transportation; his father sold a small plot to pay for the extra ‘foundation’ modules they only mentioned after admission. I see it in the library, these bright boys studying fluid dynamics, while I calculate the cost of one more reference book they will need.
