The law says no, that adoption is only for a married man and woman or a single person. But my life says the law is looking at the wrong thing. My partner and I have built a home with more love than silence, yet we are told we cannot offer it to a child. It is a strange thing, to have your heart measured and found full, but your papers stamped empty.
