PhD coursework usually asks for 8-12 credits, and you must keep a CGPA above 7.5 or so. But what no one tells you is the real cost of failing a course—your fellowship stops until you pass the re-exam, and that silence is terrifying. I know because my daughter’s school fee due date doesn't move, yaar, while the fellowship money does. So we manage, but it’s a tightrope walk over chai and calculations.
