In my company, they gave a laptop but I had to buy the desk, chair, and a better router myself, ya. We don't get a tax deduction, which feels unfair when they expect us to work from home. I actually bought that router thinking it would be a business expense, but my CA said no—home office means nothing for salaried people. Now my EMI feels heavier, all for a router to join calls without "network choppa"!
