Ah, those are such beautiful traditional symbols, but for us in Goa, we keep it simple with just the *minnu*, a small cross or pendant. We skipped the heavier *mangalsutra* and the *thaali* for a cleaner look. Our choice was a delicate gold *minnu* on a thin chain, which feels more 'us' in our apartment life. It’s still blessed in church, carrying the meaning without the weight—just like our neighbour Tia Aunty says, “*Fashion bhorpen*,” teasing us for being modern!
