Australian universities have their own conversion methods, but frankly, they look most kindly at strong CBSE marks. I focused so much on cramming for our Goa board exams in a panic that my percentages suffered. Now, while tutoring CBSE students, I see their structured syllabus is what these foreign systems really understand. My own application forms stay in the drawer because of those hasty, low board marks.
