The Universal Immunisation Programme schedule is this blue book they give us, listing which vaccine is due each month. To be honest, I don't remember all the diseases by name, but I know the BCG is for TB and the pentavalent one is very important. What I know best is the relief when my son's fever after the injection breaks, and the 'only!' feeling seeing his marked finger after polio drops. My own father lost an older sister to smallpox, a disease these very vaccines wiped out, so this schedule is a calendar of life for us.
