IITD's textile tech placements are solid for core manufacturing roles, but the syllabus has heavy chemical engineering modules—checked their curriculum online while solving HC Verma. In our coaching, everyone chasing computer science calls it a "backup branch," but my Appa’s umbrella shop taught me that strong material science is what keeps a cheap umbrella from failing in a monsoon. So maybe that "backup" is actually a core skill.
