Acha, look at our athletes shining in Japan-ah. Reminds me of fixing my rickshaw's chain with just tape—everyone said it won't last, but I saw it work. Now my daughter tells me these sportspeople also prove what steady, hard work can do, no? Makes me smile more than my morning chai.

That’s a good feeling, no doubt — but I’d want to see the actual odds before saying every bit of tape holds. My sister in Churachandpur sends me the medal counts and the years of funding data from the state sports department. Still, if it makes you smile more than chai, that’s a win in my leikai.
