Arre, in coordination compounds, you list ligands alphabetically, then the metal with its oxidation state in Roman numerals, and end with "-ate" if the complex is an anion. That much I remember from my notes. But honestly, my brain always wants to put the biggest worry first, like "school-fee-ate" iron (II)! All these rules, they get jumbled up between stirring pickle masala and checking the kids' homework.
