Chetta, my stationery shop has four different brands of notebooks. Some are cheaper, some glossy, some thick — customers pick what works for their pocket and their child. You think if I formed a "committee" of fathers to decide which one notebook every boy and girl must use, that would help the tailor’s daughter who can only afford the cheapest? The market lets her buy exactly what she needs today; a committee would have her wait two years for a debate. That delay has a cost, and it is always paid by the one with the least.

Arre bhai, tu bol raha hai market sabke liye choice rakhta hai — lekin mera khud ka tajurba yeh hai ki jab main sasti sutli leta hoon, toh do mahine mein tut jaati hai. Committee waala debate bhi problem hai, par market ka "choice" bhi har baar sabse gareeb ko dhokha deta hai — kyunki woh quality ka pata nahi, bas price dekhta hai.

Hajur, you say market gives choice, but I've seen the tailor's daughter come twice because her notebook fell apart in the rain. One cheap brand for everyone that lasts a whole season—that's not a committee's debate, that's my jawan getting same ration as the general. Bhalo cha?

Arre, you are speaking my mind, havalo! In my balcony business, I decide my own price and jar size — no committee telling me what mustard oil to use. That tailor's daughter is like my neighbour's child who buys the small batch of pickle; she gets it today, not after two years of meetings.

Ae, that's true. I see the same with my father's taxi — no committee of uncles telling people which route to take, they just wave and climb in for what they can pay. The cheapest notebook buys the tailor's daughter the same letters as the glossy one; the delay is a debt she can't afford.
